In the Pisco river valley, on the outskirts of Humay, is one of the best-preserved pre-Columbian coastal ruins in Peru.
Tambo Colorado was totally made of adobe.
It was a residence, an administration center and a palace of the Inca Pachacutec.
The ruins comprise four groups of buildings: Inca palace, The Temple of The Sun, Trapezoid platform and Pallasca Valley (can be visited, it seems to be a military observatory)
Necessary time to visit Tambo Colorado: 3 hours.
